Being a Christian is more than a title to claim; it signifies that you have a personal relationship with Jesus and, because that relationship, you represent Christ on earth. It is something you live by and share with others. Even when not sharing with your mouth (although you should), the way you live speaks loudly to those around you. The manner in which you respond to people, situations and stressors broadcasts the transformation of your life—or lack thereof. Just as we trust an apple tree to produce apples, a life surrendered to Christ produces predictable fruit.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 (AMP)
